The TONY AWARDS 360 Promo
Round Hill Entertainment reached out to Koncept VR to create a 360°, one-of-a-kind rendition of the song “Wait For It” from the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit, Hamilton. Produced exclusively for CBS’s 70th Annual Tony Awards, airing June 12, 2016, the VR video is currently live on Facebook with over 3 million views. The performers’ talents came as no surprise, and working with them was an absolute pleasure.
The production itself was “tight” since we had only 2h time on stage with the Hamilton lead creatives and the main talents, working out the choreography for the four takes, some rehearsals as well as adjusting the stage lights to make it interesting for the audience in 360. The post-production schedule was tight as well, the project had to go live within a couple of days.
